| Dear god D: Look at this video the WHOLE way through before you judge it.. http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/developer-walkthroughIm also told by a friend that theres a vid on what happens if you let him live (he's more experienced so the ship takes less damage and boarding people) And thats not like a super duper quest or raid or anything its two guys who decide to get on this ship ... yeah.. WoW is screwed | |

| You people suck.. you realize WoW IS dying right? Less people are joining and more people are leaving.. Yeah you dont really notice it much but look at this GUILD for gods sake! theres only two people who even play the thing right now! Tribe had lost 5 people who just stopped coming online a few small raiding guilds had to merge or they'd cease to exist
WoW is going to end.. Cataclysm will most likely be the last expansion Im going to go ahead and predict we'll get to 4.3 before it stops

| Dude, go on and play the game, but claiming that it will remove WoW from the mmorpg throne is a very bold claim, and nothing I've seen so far seems to back it up. OK cinematics though. But as far as I can tell, it aint awesome or revolutionary enough to be announced with "watch it or die!" - gooball wrote:

I'm one of the people that quit, and I didint quit to play some other game, I quit to do stuff irl. So no star wars, or eve online or whatever took me. So if you are gonna use me as an example, you might as well be saying that mmorpgs are dying on the whole. - gooball wrote:

Eeeeh... Cuz we dont all go "OMG I WANNA PLAY STAR WARS!"? If so, yes, then I suck. Big time.

| yeah most left for Irl reasons.. hell even I did But im saying you suck cos you dont seem to see how awesome that game looks in the terms that it will handle as many (if not more) people per realm with the graphics it has, also the chat system looks pretty cool if it is unique (even not its nice) And the game play looks as good as some games designed completely for shooting or w/e
And YES Mmorpgs seem to be dying as a whole, Now the whole WOW thousands of players at once!? factor is running out.. AND theres first person shooters that have 64 players online coming out so.. yeah Mmo's probably wont be dying anytime soon but there are less people in them In all likelihood i see the future of Mmos will be on the consoles like playstation and Xbox in the form of games such as Oblivion and Fallout but on a scale like WoW

| Player numbers declining? How can that possible be when Blizzard claims to have 11.5 million players now. That is a .5 million INCREASE since I started playing. | |

| Cant really say that its dying unless there is some drastic change. 6 million people stop playing? THATS signicifant change, THATS when they will have to merge servers at a major scale and stuff. a 0.5 million difference? Heck, for blizzard, thats just evening out the numbers! Look, good luck and all with the new game and all, I'm just a bit miffed that you have to throw dirt at another game to get people to play it. Kinda stinks. The star wars game looks good too. Heck, looks very intresting, maybe even allowing the star wars franchise to take a step into the mmorpg world, something completly new to them. But if we are talking new... Graphics looks just like any other star wars game I've seen. WoW also looks like Warcraft 3, but they went from strategy game to mmorpg, not rpg to mmorpg. Bit of a larger change there, which I think made the game possible. | |

LIES! Why would they advertise 11.5 million players/accounts on their website if it was a step back for them? Does this new Star Wars game offer a playable Jabba the Hutt character btw?
